Vibe World Update!

HI EVERYONE Delvin writing! Bella's bit is way down the bottom.....just joking Mr D, although it is way down the bottom!!!

Vibe Cycle is still moving in the right directions with loads more Vibe Cycle instructors to boot.

Too many Vibe Days and Events to say right now, but onward and upward to the next up coming events.

Just before I do that, I must tell you how amazing the Vibe day we just had in Covent Garden London. The day was the official arrival of Vibe Cycle in London town.
30 plus people just enjoying a great day of Music and Fitness, truly at its best. Fitness Fitness First Covent Garden didn't really know what hit them. We did though haha, and they all loved every pedal stroke of the day.

The Vibe Cycle Events always showcase New up and coming Presenters of the future. We highlight this with our own Vibe Cycle Forum. On this Forum was Donna Barleycorn, Claire Marriott and Presenter and Dancer extraodonaire
Zoe McNulty. One word WOW! The girls did themselves proud and in no way did they give anything less than 110%. Fantastic Energy, Great Music and electric atmosphere. The Forum was truly one of the best yet and I truly salute them all. Nuff Respect and You will not be forgotten at all.

I was joined by Bella Higgins and Lisa Cuerden and they both delivered their best performances to date. WE all give 100% at the Vibe days because we love them so much but this one was special. It was London and it was BIG.
I thank all who attended and the whole team are so pleased that the response has been so Positive and appreciative. YES there will definately be another Vibe Day at Fitness First Covent Garden most def.

A Massive date for your dairy is the next LONDON VIbe Cycle Event.... REEBOK SPRTS CENTRE Canary Wharf. Date 14th August, Time 12 till 5. This is the BIG ONE.....75 Bikes rocking and rolling.
Ti Book this huge Event email... enquiries@vibecycle.co.uk the price for Vibe Cycle all day is £35 cheap as chips. You need to book asap the event will definately sell out. Don't miss out, or you will regret it!.

Thats it for now so I how you all become friends of Vibe Cycle on Facebook and then you can see for yourselves how fantastic these days are.

Bella: I ran a Vibe Cycle Foundation Course in Maisdtone Kent earlier on in the month and I as so lucky to spend the day with professionally enthusiastic instructors. It was time spent covering the course and many finer points about expleeting the feeling that Vibe can give and create. I smile about that day. As well as Instructors new to indoor cycling we had already qualified attendees to, eager to draw on the Vibe philosophy - that's because with Vibe there is never a dull moment - no lull in creativity - why would there be, think of how many great tunes there are around the world! No single legged riding and hand weight lifting in Vibe Cycle classes.....yes I have had conversations on two occasions lately re instructors who feel the need to 'add fluff'........the instigation of that thought, the 'fluff' I mean, leaves me speechless!
If your reading this and the word 'lull' describes where you may be at with your indoor cycling then sign up for the courses and let us make the difference your looking for.

Until next time.......Don't just ride.....

The Power of the Nessy! It's 3ness!!

July kicked off for me and the Vibe Team with a fab weekend at 3ness Convention Hinkley. It was a real treat to watch the performance of the 'Xtreme Steppers' at the welcome on Friday night - xtreme it was with great talent in that lovely bunch! Izett Barnett, Steve Walker and their team came from the USA just to be with 3ness - pretty awesome huh?! Also from the USA was  Tatiana Tamai presenting her booty bumping 'Booiaka' phewww!
I was very pleased to have the opportunity to Present Vibe Nitro 'X' for the first time and I laugh when I think about it because the 'spotter' on the door, lovely guy, was doing it on his own with a big smile on his chops and looking quite amazed at the power behind the girly punches!! Hahaaa, little did he know! The Aqua Olympic Circuits was packed, Kangoo Power with Jason Mellars is something else to watch and do and Winston's 'Meg Balls' , well, mega it is - crazy crazy!
As always Vibe Cycle generated just that - a great vibe........high five guys and all who attended x

A little word from Queen B (Bella Higgins)

Hello Peeps!

Just a quickie from me - I've spent  a fabulous week in La Santa Lanzarote with the RIP Fitness Convention - what a place and what a great convention- Fitness in the sun, fantastic! Do sign up to www.ripfitness.com and get the latest info on all their yearly doo's - great company!

I've been a bit naughty actually........I've added a 'Bella slant' on Delvin's and Karl's 'Vibe Nitro' format! Oh somebody smack my hand!! Anyway anyway.....I'm currently producing classes with the session format of boxing and foot strikes combined, all members with either gloves or pads.  Yeah Yeah I know, whoopiedooo...... yet, when added with very slick group work, interchangeable combinations and the awsome 'vibe' of great tunes it's a knockout! Excuse the pun! The members down here have gone a little wild over it bless them! So I shall showcase throughout the year and let you know asap on course dates etc.........ooolaaa!

MR D......This fantastic Vibe Nitro genre will be showcased at the 3ness Convention 2nd July at the Hinkley Island Hotel. If you can fit it in your Fitness diary then do so. There will be some amazing Presenters too! The Event is on the same weekend as the amazing Rip Fitness Convention at the Belfry Hotel in Oxford. Hey Freestyle fitness is just rocking at the moment. You guys are so lucky and so are we.

Back to me!! In my next ditty to you I shall share some idea's on music for Vibe Cycle and a few pointers on how to maximize your 'finale' in other group ex genres.

Till then.............Don't Just Ride...........!

Bella x

Just when I thought....

...I had reached 'empty' phamm.......I pumped out a goodie!! A kinda succeed or drop heavy in a deep deep pit moment!

I have found that I function quite well when I have to haul myself out of a dungen and some of by best work is done when I have no plans at all - weird isn't it?!
I had one of those running up to this last weekend and then off to Basingstoke I went and my my, I had a ball!
It was either a) kill or cure or b) a very good atmoshere with great people c) the urchase of an awsome track that I very much look forward to doing!  What ever it was out the dungen I came and I'm still kicking my heels and hot footing it around the gym!

Where are the newcomers??

I facebook thhis week the question of 'who's been constantly instructing fitness classes for a period of 8 years or over?"

This came about  because of a catch 22 situation at one of the clubs I work in - there was a 'cover' issue. Not enough cover available and also not the 'right' cover as members saw it. It's a kinda multifaceted catch 22 issue!
Many clubs have cover lists of quiet a few names - I've seen them! Yet when it comes to actually 'covering' where are they all?! I wonder if it's a case that the cover list is in actual fact a list of current and 'hopeful' class on timetable people. Are there instructors who actually just want to do cover?
The other side of the '22' is that they can all say  no thankyou to the offer of cover! As a long term teacher myself with plain old experience under my belt I have also had the issue of instructors not wanting to cover my regular slots because it's me!!! Ahh that one cracks me up! Jumping on my soap box for a moment.....it's a mirical that time, investment, qualifications, learning, listening and doing gives us the edge - isn't it? Is it a bugger that us longtermers had to teach freestyle as that's all there was and we did quite happily because we were taught to do it that way!?
The industry for the last few years has made it easy for people to jump in to this job - BTS did that single handedly - do this, say that, use those to this music but..........there is something missing that I would call BALLS! Balls to grow as an independant individual with things that we're good at and things we're not so and understanding that. Anyway anyway I have moved subject!
So where are the newcomers?? There are very few and why.....?
That catch 22's are these.......not enough willing staff on the cover list......members complaining that we even take a week off...........clubs cooking there own goose by having longtermers working there, members love the experience and drive and not enough Ballsy newcomers.
"i'm gonna become and instructor because I love step, love it love it love it!" well that aint gonna put food on your table or make you a higherable proposition to employers. Also you only love step because of the person/s that taught you it their way with their flavour, and quiet frankly you're never gonna be them!
So can I take my holiday this year and fend off the deciplinary action threatened to me if my sessions arnt covered........I'm on holiday in December - anyone available to cover???!!

Hot news from La Santa!

Wow, this is one big place! Facilities for sport like I've never seen! At Fighting Fit this morning we were welcomed by Dave and introduced to the RIP family and that's really what it is. Dave is a warm gentle man and evokes a real and sincere feeling in the camp.

I had an eight o'clock set today and was readily supported by vibe enthusiasts! On to Fighting Fit and then Socca Jam and a bit of dance aerobics, back for another vibe and now.......sun sun sun! Lovely!

A great place for such a convention. Fantastic doing fitness in the sun too! Vibe Cycle is here to stay people – honestly you've gotta give it a go next year or better yet check out ripfitness.com and join us in September at Bognor!

I may well be a jet setter!

.....  Well at least this week! Marbella for holiday back Saturday 5.30 pm and then I'm re packed and on the plane to Lanzarote as I type! Ok, not typing and sending, merely banking my thoughts to send to my fab PA and bestist guru Jen whenst I arrive at La Santa Resort.

I'm exceedingly happy to be working for the mild mannered Dave McQueen and his awsome convention company RIP Fitness. As I write I feel intensely proud to be representing Vibe Cycle on my ownsome. Two years in and I have learned much from my good friend Delvin – I still watch and soak up all that he is so incredibly capable of every time I see him and even talk to him – bless his choice in me.

Well supported by 8 friends, colleagues and Mr Lee, I walk in to the some what unknown of International Presenting – people from many different country's, different ideas on fitness genres and communication pathways!! Pointing, that's got to be the way forward, hasn't it.......

Body Power Expo!

Well, this one was something really different!
Vibe Cycle and Vibe Stride were asked to showcase at the Body Power Expo this last weekend and 'yeehaaa' we most certainly did!
This weekend was, refreshingly, for the consumer rather than the corporate end of the fitness world and that in itself made this weekend a 'stand alone' event compared to others.
We had our Vibe stand within the fitness arena and were supported by Gary from Keiser and their M3 bikes and M5 Striders we made for a great looking spectical! Myself Delvin Lisa Jo Lee Hayley Chloe Kim and Craig owned the area as we have no trouble at all being proactive with a crowd of sometimes over 300 visitors! We presented Vibe Cycle and Vibe Stride together at the same time and when I viewed the crowd there was a kinda 'blimey, look at that'! It's the undeniable tidyness and clarity from Vibe as a group ex format - perfect motion to great music. It was a perfect weekend for us - Gary sold kit, we sold courses and most of all we will be remembered, oh yes!
As an exhibition BodyPower had pulled out all the stops. Top top names like Mr Olympia Jay Cutler - his queue was huge - Worlds Strongest Man - top Body Builders both ladies and men - there were also wrestling, cage fight and boxing arena's, lectures, interviews and more info handed out than I have ever seen!
This expo was all about the people that are actively involved with fitness - the punters, the members, the 'do it at homers' and they came and learn't directly from the people who work in the profession - I had a feeling of value when I shared conversation with the visitors - I wasn't hoping to sell myself to corporate on lookers who were calculating 'pence per bum on seat' - it was perfectly pitched and well exicuted....
Good job BodyPower organisers!!   www.bodypowerexpo.co.uk

So here we are....still....!

So we await....not necessarily for the plane - well, I suppose we're all waiting for a plane whilst others of us are awaiting the imminent poke by our husbands of 'I told you so'. What would happen in life if we all aired on the side of caution? If we hadn't taken the plunge in to the volcano ash and it's possible heat then we wouldn't have had a fab afternoon at DW Sports, we wouldn't have had an extremely interesting bus tour around belfast, wouldnt of understood more about the history of Northern Ireland and the reasons for all the stuff on the news when I was a kid, and wouldnt of had so many 'laugh or we'll cry' gutt busters with my pals. Or been chased down by fire & rescue when we flew back in to Belfast! So there you go impending moody husbands! All that taken into account things will slowly get worse by the impending strike by BA who are, hopefully, going to take 6 of us on holiday to Spain (ahh, the ash closes many airports in Spain :( )  and even if BA can get us on holiday, doddging the ash will be a different factor and then........getting back on the saturday to then go through it all again and nip out to La Santa on the sunday and hopefully dodge the ash on the thursday coming back.
I suppose the questions for us and many many others is, as the song goes, 'should I stay or should I go'? I am beyond thinking anymore.............oh and my phone will be off all day tomorrow as I have facebook itch............

Can you feel it..... I knew that you could!

7 year itch.....

I was reading a post on facebook recently - a lady had posted her disapointment in her class. She took a moment to step back and observe and was shocked at how lack luster and kinda ploddy they were.  She was exclaiming about how much does one have to do to motivate and when you do all you can there are times that it still doesnt work!
That leads me to share a quickie with ya....I finished a four month running class this week - I'm helping out with something else - I they bought me flowers and a lovely card, all true. Thankyou gang x I also finished a 7 year class this week, 4 years pump and 3 years free style pump max - not one person spoke to me at the end........I felt a year ago that tides were turning, it took me another 10 months to decide that it was truly time to go. They were great, hard working, took anything on the chin and I was pretty good also!! It just happens.  Never again will it take me a year to get to that point again.  Any change of direction means we are not standing still...........

Feel the Vibe Day Godalming Guilford....

Hey Peeps!
What a fab day today - picnic at kids football on a blanket - oh the summer is sooo nearly here that I'm kinda faking it with the picnic persuasion!
So so needed to get back on the saddle yesterday at the FVD Godalming - I think my last Presentation of Vibe Cycle was in February, other than tutoring, and I've missed it AND I needed it! I've said before that there is a big difference between teaching and presenting and I was feeling that my grasp on Presenting, ie: the mind set   was edging away from me. It's a feeling I had and, anyway, it had me raging like a cheezed of bull!
So we went to Fitness First Godalming and what a little pot of treasure that place is! It's kinda 'small' (!) yet is obviously loved as the place is packed out with kit and the studio too - filled to the brim! They must have all kindsa stuff going on in there in the week - might look for a bit of cover work there - well, it's only and hour away! The stereo system, backed up by us playing our tunes from our laptops, was immense - I mean, I like it loud and oh boy was it soo ready to pump them out! Wicked! For those wingers and whiners on the gym floors and those who wear ear muffs (yep, they doo) there's gotta be volume people!! We had 33 riders and Delvin, Jo, me, Chloe who had Delvin boppin at the back (!) the lovely Zoe and new kid on the forum Gary Spreadborough who, for a geezer, was excellent! (!!! Little joke there Gary!) He taught a left leg lead too - one of my frequent pastimes, so good for you Gary!

The music this time was top notch - god, where do the youngsters get it.....?! If you know give me the head's up would ya! I choose stuff I like, as we all do, and I'm happy to be different with me chart hits or is that big titt's, I'm not sure!!! Taking in to account that most bloody pets out there have been or indeed are named 'Bella' it's no wonder I'm safe in the hands of 'different'! Delvin's sounds - well, when you think they can't get any better they bloody well dooo, sod!
April 30th kicks off a very, very busy 3 month period and I can feel the atmosphere around me growing every day. The high's
and the low's are both great, both bringing new understanding and growth and god know's there's always room for improvement!

Stride Roadshow winner's thoughts of the weekend.....

As the winner of the Keiser Strider Road Show Bella asked me to share my experience of the whole event with you and rightly so.

After an unbearable wait I became the successful winner of the weekend pass to Fit Pro with the opportunity to present on the Keiser M5 Strider with Vicki and Delvin. I was totally overwhelmed, pleased with myself and very thankful that Bella presented me with the opportunity to take part in the first place.
The support and encouragement from the close friends and the Vibe Team was what gave me the courage and belief in myself to do it all, thanks guys.

So Fit Pro – wow what a weekend! Exciting, exhausting and sore are a few words to describe it as a whole. Friday was Keiser M5 and M3 workshops/master classes with Paco and Vicki. Awesome music, tough workouts and great motivation. Saturday 8am! EARLY! That was presenting time with Delvin Vibe Stride! ahhhh a nervous Hayley listening to tracks on every journey possible learning my music and trying not to panic. It was an amazing experience from the first stride on the rhythm through to the last. I presented 2 tracks that were over before I knew it yet left me feeling very euphoric and in tune with the participants.  An amazing feeling the vibe feeling, whoop whoop! One presentation down with all day to wait for the next chance, on a high meeting new people in the industry total pro’s, me a mere amateur next to heavy weight champ David Hayes ha ha ha. 5 o’clock rolled round quickly and I was on my stage ready to show the Keiser team what I had. Silence Delirium ripped it up, best track in the set and I was buzzing like a bumble bee making honey! Great reaction from the participants, their energy after a long day blew me away.

Sunday after a late night bit of mingling and partying was another EARLY start for the Vibe crew but we were ready to rock the party. An hour and half of Vibe tastic tunes awesome presenting from the main man Delvin and our lovely Lisa with the Belgium crew in the house feeling the vibe 1,2,3,4 come on WOOOOOoooooooOOOOOooooo. The finale Sunday afternoon Vibe Stride rocked with the Chloe and Kelly team Vibe giving it large with final efforts of whop whoop as we all knew it was all drawing to a close. Excited and sad at the same time, very strange feelings after such an incredible weekend.

Not looking forward to the drive home I dragged myself into my van kicking and screaming, feeling the come down upon me already the big shot of adrenaline was wearing out. An experience that will last till the next time when I’m sure it will be surpassed by many Vibe days. It rocked my world and I can’t wait to make the next opportunity come to life.

Don’t just ride……………………………

Vibe Cycle Level 2 qualification

Hey People...I've been asked a lot lately about information, course dates and such re Level 2 Vibe and I just want to take a mo to do a mini 'FAQ' on this certificate...
Candidates, on their arrival at the course day, are expected to already be able to demonstrate constant lead leg and correction if required ie:understanding the phylosophy of Vibe, great technique and use of music. Those three points are all covered in the Foundation Course Level 1.
All candidates must have cycling shoes on the day - no shoes no course.
Fitness and ability to perform exactly what your asking for is also a major point! Well, when I say 'major point' that's because I remember being pushed beyond my then limit on my Level 2 course with Delvin! That's one of the things that make me smile about it today - thinking s***, come on legs! Now I totally understand why I as a Vibe Cycle Level 2 instructor should be at the pinicle of fitness and ability - those things create a complete package of excellence within this genre and that's what make's dedicated Vibe Cycle Instructors shine and shadow others.
Level 2 is is a Pass or Refer qualification.
If your arriving able to demonstrate the understanding of a lead leg with great technique and music usage then you can expect to learn about musical flavors and usage way beyond all other training opportunities. With a pass you will shine, with a refer you'll leave with the points to work on and can re attend. Demonstrating no understanding or intention for constant beat and rhythm will lead to a Refer and no immediate certification.

A Level 2 Vibe Cycle Qualification is a sure fired way to be able to teach on the forum  of Feel The Vibe Days without question.

However - if your looking to progress with points covered in the Foundation Course and sharpen your ability with lead leg, great technique and use of music with possibly both beat 1 & 2 then you may want to consider a Vibe Cycle workshop. This will give you an opportunity to spend time with the Vibe Cycle Tutor within a group enviroment and learn and share experiences. Workshops endeavour to cover as many of the attendees requests as we physically can.   Generally everybody's questions and thoughts are valid to the whole group - these relaxed get togethers prove to produce real progression in those attending.   Like, when we learned to drive it was a slow process - once driving in the real world we learnt quicker and perform better and it's the same with Vibe Cycle.

We are not just 'riding' a bike in a studio with a cd on in the back ground and barking our instruction - you knew that already.......

So if you feel you have the entrance ability for Level 2 then we welcome you - contact myself 07931 570956 or Delvin 07976 659007

FitPro success!

VIBE UPDATE

The weekend was a busy one and a historical one too. This was the first time Vibe Cycle AND Vibe Stride was at any event at one time in the UK. A great and momentous time it was for everyone who knows and didn't know about Vibe Cycle and Vibe Stride.

The first class of the weekend, Vibe wise was Vibe Stride Saturday morning. 8 till 9. The turnout was very good considering no one really knew we were going be there! Then Lisa, myself and Strider Competition winner, Hayley Empett was already up bright and early for the session, and it was worth it.
The music rocked and the participants let us know that too. They informed us that Vibe Stride definitely has a strong future, as an integral part of the Group Ex environment. Cross Trainers in a Studio, WOW...that's great! Vibe Stride on a Cross Trainer in a Studio, GENIUS! Vibe Stride is all about the Music Moves
and Fun on the M5 Strider. This was profoundly evident in both of the Vibe Stride Sessions at the weekend.

The Vibe Cycle Session at 9.30, straight after was an hour and a half Workshop/Masterclass and boy did that ROCK! This class was simply amazing the room was full of people wanting pumping music and feel good Vibe energy, and that is exactly what they got. Lisa and I had THE BEST time up there. The Fit Pro
Instructors were so amazing. We had a small crew of Belgians who knew of Vibe Stride and Vibe Cycle, from when I presented both VC and VS at the Utrecht Trade Show in Holland last year. They remembered me & aaww, I was touched! The guys and girls brought the house down. We sang, we laughed and sweated loads. The hour and a half went so quick. At the end we didn't t want to stop. Both Lisa and I were speechless to say the least the energy was breathtaking.

Sunday morning 8.30 till 10 Vibe Cycle.... will anyone be there, we thought...there were 70 bikes and we were at least 3 quarters full, can you believe it?

Let me just say one word AWESOME! Yes I know it s an overused word, but I have no other words to describe it really. You can see a clip of one of the tracks we cycled to on Facebook have a look and see for yourself. Big thanks to my main Vibers there too Chloe Robinson, Kelly Evans, Zoe McNulty, Sally Parkes,
Lara Painting and Hayley Impett. Ask them yourself, they will tell you.

Big Up the Belgium Posse too they were there in force. You will hear all about the up and coming courses and Vibe Days in Belgium on here soon watch this space.. The Vibe is now in Belgium to stay most def.

The Final class of the weekend was Vibe Stride at 3 in the afternoon. Loved every stride of it and so did the attendees.

Needless to say the Fit Pro Convention was very enjoyable and very successful for both Vibe Cycle and Vibe Stride. Loads of interest for Vibe days of both nature, so YES it s ALL happening now. Get involved and be a part of this fantastic Vibe Revolution, you know it makes sense.

Keep it here for all the VIBE EVENTS coming soon.
To see all the footage, be a friend on Facebook asap, I'll add you no problem.

Working with the very driven and 1st class Keiser company has given us the opportunity to showcase our concept on the most delicious, I mean, mm mmm mmmm piece of kit we have ever had the pleasure to straddle - well, stand on! Keiser's products have more than just the edge within the fitness machinery loop - really remarkable.

The Keiser Roadshow's were a treat to attend - many budding starletts were met and quality times of moving forward for us all were felt. We topped this event off on Thursday with all finalists of the Roadshow competition meeting and the rather lush head quarters of Keiser UK in Tetbury. Yes they have first class equipment and oh boy, they have a first class base for showcasing it - oooolalaaaa! They have recently moved in although you wouldn't really know it - through the door and into iRobot clean, cutting, silvery perfection that has you touching and feeling everything the company has to offer. I have no doubt that they will remain leaders within their field.

Congratulations to Hayleigh Empett who won the day - she will go to Fit Pro next week to show her talents. Knowing Hayleigh, she will work like a trojan in representing Keiser - go get it Hay! That said - the judging panel, Vikki, from Keiser, and Delvin had a really hard job deciding, like a really hard job! An hour and five mins later out came a near to tears Vikki and Delvin tight as a cog with hood up (which is always a sign that he's stressed!) Each individual bought a different masterclass to the table and there really wasn't a looser among them all. Please don't take this as a cheesy statement - I was humbled by their determination, effort, obvious hard work in preparation and belief in themselves. As a presenter I regard myself to be quite quiet out on the circuit, a watcher and quiet sharer built on understanding that bravado is really quite shallow, a bit if a feeler really - spending the day with these guys had my heart in termoil. I wanted to sneek a note under the door to Delvin and Vikki asking them to change the rules of the final and 'can't we just crate a new team' with these people....?! So much ability in one place, respect finalists X

Whilst there with Delvin and Lisa and Keiser guru's we discussed Vibe Stride Days.......as I said before, we are now to walking and dates have been diaratized!!! I'm unable to give them to you right now - can you imagine - Vibe Cycle Days sell out double quick time and sales of Vibe Stride Days would be enough to start a war!! As lovers of Vibe of course we will want you to be the first for invitations and this will happen.

Delvin is at Fit Pro this coming weekend to showcase Vibe Stride on a massive level so for all you going - how luck are you!!!?

As always Vibe Cycle does endeavour to travel far and wide to bring the best of Vibe Cycle Days to your door step and continue to feel free in contacting us about coming to your area - there is much available to be shared in all that is Vibe....... x

Vibe Stride

The final leg of the roadshow happens this Friday in Manchester at David Lloyd - everybody say 'ahhhh'......

Feedback has been incredible and this excellent new group exercise programme is here to stay that's for sure! The Vibe Cycle unit, us AND you guys, whether it's representing the programme or lovin it, is sooo strong and Vibe Stride is going to be just as powerful if not bigger.

I've written before about my thoughts on Vibe Stride and the fact that it's pretty much universal with regard to fitness levels and experience - I feel, as an independent professional, that it's a win win situation and indeed the nations 'fitness timetables' will have a shift over the next year.

Craig and Chloe did Vibe Stride proud last week in Birmingham.  They represented the teams abilities, drive and determination to make that difference in an otherwise fitness idea's 'crunch' market. As of yet I don't think the whole team has presented at one gig and thinking about that now, blimey, my shoulders lifted as I can feel that Phoenix again hovering over the flames!! Digressing slightly - I have changed the layout of the bikes for my Vibe Cycle and sat next to a 'back rower' on Friday night. He spoke to me after - shattered yet eyes wide and smile on face - and said 'that's it, I'm not in the backrow anymore, that was something else!' And he's requested to 'sit next to me' again tonight - such is the unity of music and the complete philosophy of Vibe.

The other interesting thing is that there are imitators of Vibe Stride out there already, people who are trying to imitate what they have seen us do. Yet realistically the Vibe philosophy, the Vibe Symbol that we are all eager to wear and power of the Vibe unit should be embraced by all as there is much to gain by many through Vibe and all that it is and all that Vibe Stride is going to be.

The real deal is coming people, Vibe Stride Days, Vibe Stride Courses and probably even Vibe Stride tattoo's! Like all successful businesses and long term change, it takes time - time to get it in the right place at the right time - to stand on pillars that are the long term foundations of all that is coming and it IS coming!

I'm hoping to be at the Keiser Vibe Stride final at the end of the month and I'm keen to see all you budding Strider's doin ya thang! If you've got an opportunity to go to Manchester do go as Delvin and the team are rather good......... ;) !!!!

Oh blimey! I'm all aqwiver!

Do you know - that sun out does something real good to me!! Yesterday (Sunday) and today I have been on top of the world and if the people around me aint prepared to climb, well, I aint comin down!!! I'm always the same in the sunshine. Needless to say my gander has been up and I've been untouchable! Roof down, tunes on, drivin to work fingers tappin!
Even this morning I planned for tonights Vibe Cycle, Cardio Kickbox and Hi/lo tomorrow and believe me when I say that that is very rare!
Yesterday I went to the gym, on my own, and did 45mins Vibe Striding and boy could I feel that when I got on the bike tonight! TIRED! Covered combat tonight with a cardio kick nitro fusion and wow did that work well!? Thourly enjoyed it! So tomorrow is Hi/low dance style which I'mstill enjoying - mostly because I've had to nuckle down to proper 'teaching' as most of what I do is spontanious. Choreography has always been a struggle for me to remember actually. That, in itself, has held me back, so having to has pushed me forward to what I call 'feelin it'. When I prance around my study I've stuck to doing what flows, what physically I feel when I start with my first thought of a move and it's working! Yep, 10years in the industry and I still have things to learn and tackle and I'm liking that. I'm very much looking forward to sharing Liberty Coachings NLP seminar on Saturday - the idea of thinking outside the box - tackling the idea of change with people like tonight. They were unassured about my mix of cardio kick/Nitro fusion to start - yes I believe that 90% of the class were happy at the end yet it felt, I felt, consious of their question. Could I have turned that feeling around right from the start? I'm looking forward to Jen's instruction at the seminar that maywell make that difference with my intro - have you felt the same? Then join the group on Saturday and learn with me.  Check out the events page for further details.
So chikkadiees - I look forward to this weeks work and the future beyond. I am committed to keeping this inner feeling I have even if that brings change. I want to feel on top of the world every day and I'd like my punters to feel that also.....shall keep you posted!

Bella's thoughts on Vibe Stride!

Bella's thoughts on Vibe Stride!.......

I know it's kinda daft - being 40 (yuck) there are times that I think about when I would/should retire from Presenting Vibe. When will I know longer be able to Present with the presence that I currently do? Especially when I sit alongside whippersnappers like Jo and Lisa!! Delvin and I, as the oldest Presenters of Vibe, have discussed this in the past. I don't want to look like mutton strutting like lamb when I'm past it - that's no good for the punters and there's only so much surgery a girl can have - no one really wants to do a Joan Rivers surely!?
And then there was Vibe Stride......NO I'm not telling you that this fabulous concept is for the Young at Heart Brigade - it's bloody hard if you want it to be! I'm telling you that this new and exciting concept is far more 'multi age appealing' than the reputation of Vibe Cycle and indoor cycling concepts in general which has a 'top end fitness' type umberella - whether that's true is, for this discussion, neither here nor there.
Vibe Stride has a valid relationship with the M5 Striders. The computer gears and suggestions made by the Vibe Stride Instructor is purely a suggestion and the resistance clients can work with remains their own choice as long as there is beat and rhythm which unifies the group - as is the philosophy of Vibe. Because of the upright working position of this concept the choice of gear for the participant, I feel, is greater than that of a indoor bike, hence, if a client walks into the gym then they can Vibe Stride...........and ultimately that keeps me in a job!!!!!!!! I can now look to retire when I am 82 and can no longer keep an upright working position!!!  I will be a mutton dressed in lamb clothing and shocking the clients when my chest sway reaches new heights!!!!!!
I love this concept and I can enjoy it young and I will definately enjoy it old!!!!!
God.......do I have to get old??!! Lets hope science pushes forward really quick!!
Much love to our very  respected Vibe fans! x

Update on Vibe Cycle/Stride by the man himself - Delvin Clarke!

Busy but I like it!

It's a funny old job this! One hour of work turns in to two and a half - including the coffee of course and then before you know it we're on to thinking through the next session, the next concept, thinking for the punters and if your anything like me - over thinking the whole lot! This week I have been well and truly talkin to myself, which, I'm told, is because of a busy mind. I was awake for 2 hours last night, tired yet awake, hungry yet to knackered to go down stairs - note to self - more food in bedside draw. Actually, ditch bedside unit and install fridge, much better idea. In my fridge I'd have champagne with a spoon in the top so it's easy to sup (the spoon stops it going flat - did you know that!) I'd have flapjack and milk (goats). Then I think I'd be blissfully happy to awaken in the night, fill me boots and then drop off - lovely! Anyway anyway, I'm off the beaten track, again!
Last Saturday I had a fab day with a great bunch of enthusiastic Vibe Virgins on the Foundation Course and VV's they are no more! God they all looked so young although I'm sure they wern't all 20 years younger than me as I imagine - tell me you wern't?! Lovely people and a pleasure to share my experiences with them and watch this space for some budding young stars. Great day people - yayyy!
Tuesday Hi/low was a right affair as we bopped about to AC/DC - right laugh! For me in this industry fun is as important as all the other factors and fun on a Tuesday is something that we're not lacking at the mo - love you guys!
Saturday this week oh Saturday! Vibe Stride in Brighton people!!! Group exercise on the Keiser M5 Cross Trainer has it's second legg of the Roadshow and iz agoin! Woohoo!! This really is something else having already partaken at LIW.  I loved it loved it loved it and it's gonna be huge over the next year as the industry realises that this concept is a must, with a major demand by jo public. Mark our words at Vibe people! If you are ready for the influx of something awsome then join us at David Lloyd Brighton 12-4pm. Register at www.keiser-roadshow.co.uk. You'll be glad you did! I shall report post hast when I've come down off the ceiling! Later people x B

Blimey its all go!

its all go! Thursday afternoon I had a half day out the office! January in to February has been banannas! Next Saturday I'm heading the Vibe Cycle Foundation course in Maidstone - I love the fresh eager faces! Half term now so at least there's no rushing for the pickups - wonder if classes numbers will be affected much? It's been rammed lately - I could do with a 30 bike studio! Bookings for La Santa are clicking away and I'm really pleased that we have so many going from Ashford - its lovely to share these exciting times with buds from the gym.
I want to put on a Vibe Cycle workshop for the Level 1 Vibe Instructors out there who are looking to sharpen up there abiities and push forward, possibly to achieve their Level 2. Drop me a line of your interested in taking part. Don't ever feel that you cant give me a buzz or ask for some help, idea's or to run an event in your club.
Was talking to Lisa at 3ness an we are planning on putting on a Vibe Cycle event up this way where we jamm with the Ashford Instructors upfront with us and members partying! I'll keep you posted. Drop me a line anytime!

If your not moving.......

If your not helping your clients move forward then you have nothing to sell them the following week. They have no reason to come back to you again........

Wow my work head is.......

ticking over like a ferrari!!! Jennie and I had a plan for 2009 and blimey, didn't that get blown out the water! Coming towards 2010 I had a plan and now - blimey 60mph has turned to 136mph!! My desk is perminantly full, the diary is filling so much so that at the moment only August and October are reasonably quiet - although I know that will change!
Vibe courses, Vibe days, Vibe Stride, conventions - 3ness, UF Dance, Ribbyhall, RIP Fitness, Fit Fantastic - and breath!! And I love it! Mixing with new people and presenters and experiencing stuff outside of my little ol town has such a positive impact. Punters are all excited and the general buzz gets everyones ganders up! Working with and being around great presenters gives me a push to reach new heights, ideas on brushing up my this that and the other. That's all personal growth within the industry. Punters you can go to all these conventions - oh yes you can! Their not all fitness freaks you know - fun and laughter and good old socialising in the studio's still goes on! And professionals - go see what you can add to your bow at these events, different thoughts on stuff, different takes on stuff, new stuff, old stuff with a twist, watch how the presenters interact, say, dont say and masses more. Buddies Sue and Susie are coming to 3ness with me this weekend and I'm waiting with wide eyes as to their 'wow' about how different this one is! Yes they'll see and do new stuff, get idea's etc yet moreover the 'feel' at this convention is something different. The delivery of this convention is upbeat, noisey, bustling and yehaa!! There's people everywhere!
Do one thing in 2010 and that is go to an event that you havnt done before - go be inspired to make an 'effort' again........then tell me all about it!!

Effort....

Effort could otherwise be explained as 'ask yourself why people should like you!' I've been brewing up for this one...too many 'professionals' stomping around gym's, studio's, conventions and facebook! So' I'm gonna try and keep it short (!)
What do you, as the professional, offer your clients that makes them want to come back to you again...? Yeah so our 9.30am classes and 6pm classes are packed - that's the good time slots. Stick that exact same class on at another time, would those clients still come along?
I've watched two professionals closely lately and what I believe I've uncovered is that the punters are sub-conciously supporting the professional! By the professional acting all meak and moody the clients rally round thus tying a long term noose around their necks as in the end they cant leave the group or class in case they are shunned and oustead!! Gods honest!! I've witnessed no personal introduction, no welcome and thankyou, not one mention of a members name, leaving the studio before the punters with a hefty door throw - god! We are only as truly successful as we are truly dedicated to the people infront of us. This job is a profession that takes time, qualifications, input, money, experience and love - if we dont give it time, thought, personal growth, gain experience and if we dont love it anymore - it shows. It really really shows. If you want to feel more about your work, get more from your work, have a greater success, have job opportunities, you've got to make an effort........

Oooo I'm looking forward....

I've signed up to Liberty Coaching NLP For Fitness Professionals in March! I've caught up with Jennie to ask about the contents of the day and it's all rather interesting.
I'm no guru on communications skills both physically and verbally but the course, as I have understood it, will expand my tools for communicating with client's groups and even management on a level to which I can look to achieve the outcome I am after! The afternoon, which is fun packed apparently and what a great way to do it, is covering......gotta go BOSU so I'll tell ya some more later!!! Bye!
Back now!! Love a bit of Yoga on a BOSU.
is covering how your verbal and physical communication can create a positive outcome. Also stuff on implementing 'trigger words' so when you say them it brings an effect in the client/group - relaxation verbal tools for those in the holistic field also. Jennie talked about other stuff to that she's going to cover and all in all I'm very much looking forward to it.
Have a think - do you know a fitness professional who communicates on only one plain? Does that person communicate in a Bootcamp fashion - GIVE ME 4 MORE NOW! Is there a person in your remit who only gives instruction but not part of themselves? Have you been to someone else's class and felt that you couldn't add a little ditty, a little communication with that instructor because the communication was only projected as one way? I have - on all those points and also not just instructors - in Presenters too! If 'i's were dotted and 't's' were crossed and their presentation was better, I as the participant, could have had a very different experience, a better experience. I can evolve even as a Presenter and I know that - I'm encouraged by Jennie that this afternoon seminar will bring me new ways forward to doing just that.
Send all this to friends ithin the industry - there is never an end to personal growth afterall!
Course details here - go there now and don't miss out!

Feel The Vibe Day, The Park, Hook

The Park has a beautiful location in a converted barn and what a treat inside! The owners investment is very well represented and the club is sharp, clean and rather lush!
As always on the Vibe Days people get to know each other through the day and come together and celebrate the one common interest which is great music made even better with Vibe Cycle!
Jo Dandridge and Delvin kept us glued to the saddles as we didn't want to miss anything whilst Chloe Robinson and Zoe McNulty headed up a great Forum. Well done girls - is it getting easier yet?!!
Many thanks to Garry Spreadborough for inviting us to The Park and people, keep an eye out for that name again as Garry will be on the forums real soon......!
High five to The Park crew and hope to be back with ya soon so I can have a go!!!

Lovin it....!

Am lovin this no kids in school millarkie! Got up at 9.15am today!!! Of to a slow start but did fit in my Burlesque practice with Jennie which didn't go to bad. Vibe Cycle tonight was hard - who puts this stuff together?? Oh me.......! It was the collection of tunes I recon. They pumped me up emotionally and I just wanted to devour them physically - somebody stop me!!
Signed up for the Vibe Cycle Foundation Course yet - come on, get a move on!!
ooo p.s. some random guy sent me an email via facebook saying he liked my web site - I had a look at his profile and he was half naked! The dissapointing thing was that he was taking the photo himself in the picture!!!!! Not a good move honeypie, not good at all! Next time ask me to take the picture ok!!

Cabin Fever?!

Are you being squeezed by the walls of your own home and feeling the weight of the snow piled on your roof?!! Crazy week - crazy!
Our school open's at 11am tomorrow and Dion is going in no matter what - bless him! Then I'm gonna go down the gym! Let me outta here..........!
We crawled in to the club on Friday morning for the launch of Vibe Nitro and I expected it to be me Lee and the gate post in the studio at 9.30...surprisingly there were 14 members!! Well blow me down with a feather! The session was a great success - I had an outline plan yet the rate of which it grew in me for instant idea's and formats surprised me as well!!! At 10.30 I called it to a tail off only to be asked for more so more we did! Maybe that's because they were all obviously keen to get to the class and that continued through the hour...excellent! Backed up by an energy packed Vibe Cycle at 5pm it was a great day!! Bring on Friday is all I can say!

We have Feel The Vibe Day this Saturday in Hook - I expect the snow to be gone by then - and then the weekend after we are at UF Danc Convention which is a lovely doo and a pleasure to attend.
Tomorrow brings a run through of Chair Dance Burlesque and Vibe at 5pm and then all excited for a great leaping about session on Tuesday with dance style hi/low.
Have bought the PussyCat Dolls workout DVD to see if they have funky Dance moves I can use!!! What you recon - good purchase or waste of money..........?? I'll let you know!

hello!

Well hello everyone - it's been to long I know!
Well we're all back to the grind stone, worsened by the weather. Mind you we're a right bunch of woos'es really as I'm sure the country does'nt quite have to come to as much of a stand still as it has! I ventured in to work, slowly, today and quite expected to be the only one - as it was 15 budding Viberers arrived!! Go girls!! That's the strength of the Vibe Cycle I'd say!
I spent time over Xmas sorting my goals, career, life and expectancies for 2010 and what was realistuically achievable when taking all that into account! I'm not great at stress - sorting other peoples is great - I tend to be very focused on my work and music etc and by the end of the last year my cooking and ability to sort the house was waining - it's just not up there on my list, yet, my family and their happiness most definately is. So I'm aiming for balance this year - having things in place before zooming off here and there and every where. Planning and utalizing time much more benifically. That one was a bit over cooked this week when I was wide awake at 2.31am, I mean wide awake! I could get up and sort that dance routine, sort the Vibe Course, do the aerobics choreography.....madness! So I layed in bed and wrote the notes on my phone!! At least I was still in bed!
Everything on my A4 list is all great, all forward moving in life but covers so many area's of life - work, love, friends, planning permissions, bedroom furniture, construction company progression - yes we do run a company from home as well - football, basketball and website or is that under work?! I am not complaining mind, oh no!
So how's your 2010 gonna go? What you got planned?
Me, I'm working on my next convention UF Dance in Wales, gotta do Vibe, Burlesque, Gliding and BOSU. The Burlesque Chair Dance being the toughest one for me to tackle. It is definately my achillies heel! Once its in the bag I love it - it's just getting the bits in the bag! And oh what to wear!?!

Vibe Stride is gonna be a biggy this year to. What I call another positive stress! I'm looking forward to bringing Vibe Nitro to Ashford starting tomorrow - a great boxing circuit with loadsa abs and agility and punching obviuosly - awsome, and all set t beat and rythm, woohoo!!
The other guy should have won strictly, Eastenders only added to the increase of divorce over the xmas period and Elvis would have been 75 tomorrow bless him. There's some great new footage on BBC4 tonight and tomorrow if ya wanna learn about the man. Big love from me Elvis XXXX sniff sniff.....

End of a most spectacular year...

So here is the 18th December again! Can't believe it. I have a well earned rest each year at this time - catch a few rays of sun and eat alot! Something's different this year though - my body is way more knackered than in previous years!!! I went to my Sports Therapist this week with a list of bits to rub and and open appointment of 2 hours!

All that is the success of 2009 - my place in Vibe Cycle has seen me all over the country for different events and conventions - it has been more than I ever imagined and fabulously so. Meeting great presenters and fitness lovers has lifted my motivation and requirement of my professional self to new heights and I am grateful for that. This year has made me a better Instructor, Tutor, Presenter, friend and professional and I love it love it!!

It's taken me a while to accept my role in this industry - was I worthy, good enough?? Now, with all the highs and the lows, learning curves and inspiring conversations I accept my role and embrace it with a big squeeze!

I didn't expect to be at Fit Fantastic this year when 2009 flipped in to action. Always thought I would retire if I got to that point but - hell no!! My personal goal for 2010 is to Present Internationally and between you and the gate post I am hopeful for a gig in the summer so fingers crossed x x

Vibe Cycle is growing by it's own merits and is like a pheonix from the flames - yeehaaa!! Great job Mr D and team x x

And then ......... there's Vibe Stride!!!!! Woohoo this forthcoming year is going to open many many eyes to the most refreshing new concept for along time. I am trying to contain my excitement! Those who had a trial run at the Leisure Industry Week at the NEC this year - how lucky were we?!! You guys now know and understand the scale and scope for Vibe Stride, incredible. A roadshow will kick off early in the year - watch this space.

So fabulous people - Happy Christmas, mind the snow, eat plenty, rest up and I shall see you bright eyed and bushy tailed in January x x

Yes yes yes you can!!!!

You can you can!! Of course you can freestyle!! Of course your punters can freestyle with you!!
After all, a few years ago that was all there was!
So after you've asked your punters if they'd prefer free style and some have said no and some yes 'oh my god what should I do' occurs!

They will always be as good as their teacher so that means that they will be as good as you are a teacher, A TEACHER! Not a shoutouterer of basic demands but a teacher who gives the pupils guided information in order for them to learn something new. If you understand HOW to teach the overall objective then, yes, they can learn.

I've found that I can never please everyone, oh my god I've never ever pleased everyone - oh that makes me laugh! But I can really really please most punters doing the things I'm good at in a way that I'm good at and that is one of the biggest points - the things your good at in a way that your good at. The things that make you smile are the best things because you feel it. In class if I think it I say it - shock or horror, fair or funny it all comes out! Music is a massive part of your persona - if your a heavy beat lover don't use pop - if you like sing along use pop and cheese, punters love cheese, it gives them a light hearted feel!! Dance music, club, house, garage, all these music types are available to you, you might just have to break out of the 'old faithfull' music manufacturers - read instructor page.

Guys, find your place within the market, be an individual, be good at what you do, invest time in your work, resource information, idea's, thoughts. In the world internet all this is available. If not just bloody ask someone who inspires you! Actually, when was the last time you were inspired.........?  How long have you stayed in the same town........? How long since your last masterclass.........? How long since you bought new attire..........?!

Two days away from.....

one of the biggest days of my career! Vibe Cycle at Fit Fantastic for 3 whole days!! Total Vibe - amazing!
The other biggest day was actually passing my ETM!!
I have attended many conventions down at good ol' Camber and, now, wonderfully, myself and the rest of the powerful and hard working Vibe Cycle Presenting Team will be doing our best performance ever.
It's been a mass planning week so far - nails painted (!!) junk jewelery purchases, evening out gear, god the stress!!! Nah, seriously, these things don't happen by themselves so there has been many a conversation with Mr D, many! I spoke to him today saying I feel like the team is running the marathon and yet we don't get to run together till we've all hit the wall on the 14th mile! It feels a bit lonely actually, need a hug to confirm that we're all feeling the same! All the work that Delvin has put in over the last 2 years, all the learning curves for us less aquainted Presenters, the non stop foot on the pedal to get Vibe to where it so deserves and here we are - 3 days total Vibe, fantastic.
Cant wait to get into work mode on Friday - it's a kinda non comfort zone but on the same token you only have one thing on your mind! Eatin in the day is out other than the odd bit of flapjack - I don't even feel hungry, which is totally unbelievable and then on Sunday evening, whollop - out the other side of the high with a major dump, loadsa grizzling and slightly pissed I expect! A lovely thing happened today actually, a lady I know has organised me a free massage on Monday, isn't that lovely x
The great other thing about the weekend is that I usually have to choose about 18-20 tracks for the masterclasses but this time I'm up to 6 cd compliations already!! Fantastic! I get to run my years favorites one after the other hahaaa!!
So I hope to see some of you there and all of you in the Vibe classes - come say hi. I shall fill you in on the nerves, success, behind the scenes ranting and everything else on my return - once I have collapsed in a big heep! Up the Vibe people!! x

Freestyle - we cooked our own goose.......

Before the days of BTS everyone had to teach freestyle. We all used our qualifications which included choreography understanding and how to build it all together. That was the last generation studio instructors staple diet. Nothin put together then no class.
Then the seemingly great idea of Body this that and the other hit the scene, a kind of fresh something, a new avenue, bigwigs shouting its praises - from New Zealand you know and surely that makes the difference!
So one by one instructors took a qualification
in Body something, some took 2 or 3. When I first taught Body Pump I was in the only private members gym in our town and none of them had even heard of it - we had a massive, massive launch with an 8hr pumpathon later in the year attended by over a hundred people.
Yes I belive that when it first hit the country it was new and exciting, bar bell workouts in a studio were rare. Over time it was samey, very samey and I hopped out of the BTS and work purely freestyle pump now and am very happy with that decision. Each week is fresh and exciting and as we say in our house 'because I can'!
For those instructors who did those of Hi/Low type or the step I think in hindsight that the fitness world where I live has slowly cooked it's own goose.
Like with anything practice make perfect so if punters arn't practiced in a particular choreographied concept then they'll loose the know how. Over time I feel there's alot of knowhow been lost. Be that good or bad to you, or for you, there are now many participants of fitness who are left in a virgin state when it comes to learning and listeneing to teaching with regard to choreography. A friend of mine said to me recently 'babies didnt stop learning to walk till they had mastered it and then moved on even further'....... When did we stop the willingness to learn? When did it become acceptable for many to offer the same and enevitably loose their own personal style and creativity?? Just a thought.............

Step yeehaaa!!!

Oh my Gad Oh my gad Oh my gad!!!!!! Not only was I, Bella Higgins, up at 6am, teaching Vibe at 6.45, I also covered Kirstie's Body Step with Free Style and blimey didn't we partay!!!! 1hr and 15mins later we' had a class, a partay and for those up for the challenge an extra little bit of quicker oolalaaa!! Cheers Guys, that was like Saturday all over again, a right blast! x

Oh god I can't look at......

him any more!! NO NO NO NO NO!!!!

Botox absolutely! Chris Hollins on Strictly, for me, is sooo not watchable. He's gotta be a public school boy surely. Last week Bruno was right - Chris's manner is that of a child having a paddy! I can't get over his face - it makes me feel that he has no confidence in himself. He lift's his chin when he expects criticism and again, that makes me feel like he'd always have something to say to redeem himself, nothing to learn. He lives with his parents and I recon his mum AND dad still tuck him in..............

Ricky - still my number one with his American Smooth!! Len needs counseling and HRT!!!!!

Are you teaching the wonderful Vibe Cycle? Really??

Nobody said it was easy - being a professional isn't easy either. Are you a professional firstly?? What's your idea of a professional in the fitness industry?

For me it's quite a few things..

  • understanding your product completely
  • believing in what your doing
  • having the right manner that sends people's respect for you up and up
  • not skimping on your effort for self improvement
  • satisfying your client
  • self presentation
  • tone of voice - words used
  • understanding what to say and when
The list is lengthy.

Lets think about the 20 punters in front of you the instructor. Do you know how they feel about you in the professional terms? How do they receive your instruction? Do they give back to you in the circle of never ending euphoria? Do you actually do what your asking of them? Are your requests clear and concise? Is one week different to the last? Do you leave the class pleased with them, for them, or pleased with yourself? Think about that one......

When you qualified in Vibe Cycle you did because you knew it was a complete package - musically, technique, fluidity for the group, a one motion with in a class of many, a 'group' exercise class that leaves nobody behind, all driven by the music and your love of that music and how you transpose that to your clients. See I told you it wasn't easy yet, all of the above is applicable when your a professional Vibe Cycle instructor.

If your not teaching to beat and rhythm should you really call yourself a Vibe Cycle Instructor? All Vibe instructors have attended the course for their qualification where they would have completely understood that working to the beat and rhythm and working with a lead leg is the requirement. So, I would ask you, do your classes uphold all that is your qualification - Vibe Cycle? There are many many excellent Vibe instructors who wear the symbol very well. You will be judged by quality of others.

"Oh but my group doesn't like it" honestly, they will respect you for controlling the group whilst guiding with ease, good use of words, tone and your own presence on both the bike and in the room.

If your really a generic spinner then call it that.  Vibe Cycle is for those who want more from themselves......................

Negative ninnys

I'm tired this week of negative people.   I've hung out with 2 of them and the penny has dropped - there is just no pleasing them. A classic case of Craig on Strictly - we'd have to produce a 15 to be given a 10 - pants.

I understand that there is insecurity within, a bitterness about others seemingly having a richer life, an inibility to settle as they are, but bloody hell their so negative! Not in a way of being horrible to people around them yet stuff they say is either a critisism or an over statement - how tiring to listen to! They don't realise I'm sure but I am now gonna have my fingers in my ears in their company or just not bother at all - actually I prefer plan B......
